Warrior’s Sanctuary was founded with a deep passion for helping both veterans and animals in need. Our organization was created by Benjamin, a Marine Corps veteran dedicated to supporting fellow service members, and Brittany, an animal advocate committed to rescuing and rehabilitating animals. Together, we combined our passions to establish a place where both can find healing, purpose, and companionship.

Our name, Warrior’s Sanctuary, was inspired by our beloved rescue dog, Xena, who was named after Xena: Warrior Princess. Xena’s resilience, strength, and unwavering spirit embodied everything we stand for—providing a sanctuary where both veterans and animals can heal and thrive together.

At Warrior’s Sanctuary, we provide a safe and welcoming environment where veterans can live, train, and care for rescued animals. Our mission is to offer veterans a renewed sense of purpose while giving animals a second chance at life. Through hands-on training programs, veterans learn to care for and train animals—some of whom will go on to become service animals—while also building life skills and fostering emotional healing.

More than just a rescue, Warrior’s Sanctuary is a community built on compassion, dedication, and mutual support. We believe that by bringing veterans and animals together, we create a sanctuary of hope, resilience, and second chances.
