Frequently asked questions

What services does Warriors Sanctuary offer?

WarriorWarrior’s Sanctuary rescues animals in need and provides a safe, purpose-driven environment where veterans can live, heal, and thrive. Veterans who stay with us care for and train the rescued animals, helping them find new homes or live out their lives in peace. In return, the experience offers veterans structure, connection, and a renewed sense of purpose.

How can veterans benefit from your programs?

Veterans at Warrior’s Sanctuary gain more than just a place to stay — they find purpose, community, and healing. By caring for rescued animals, they build meaningful connections, develop daily structure, and experience the emotional rewards of helping another life thrive. Our programs provide housing, meals, and hands-on opportunities that support mental well-being, personal growth, and a renewed sense of belonging.

How can I adopt an animal from Warriors Sanctuary?

Visit our website to fill out an adoption application and schedule a meet-and-greet with the available animals.

How can I get involved with Warrior’s Sanctuary?

There are several ways to make a difference! You can volunteer your time at the sanctuary, donate funds or supplies, foster or adopt an animal, or help us spread awareness about our mission. Every act of support helps us continue rescuing animals and providing purpose for veterans.

How can I donate to support Warriors Sanctuary?

Donations can be made through our website via credit card, PayPal or Venmo.

Where are you located?

We are located in Tennessee.

Are donations tax-deductible?

Yes — Warrior’s Sanctuary is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

How can veterans apply to stay at the sanctuary?

Veterans interested in our housing and care programs can fill out the Veteran Program Application on our Forms page. Once submitted, a team member will reach out to discuss availability, program details, and next steps for becoming part of the Warrior’s Sanctuary family.

Can I donate supplies instead of money?

Absolutely. We gratefully accept items such as pet food, blankets, cleaning supplies, building materials, and gift cards to local stores. You can view our current needs list or contact us to schedule a drop-off or shipment.

Where do the animals at Warrior’s Sanctuary come from?

Many of our animals are rescued from shelters, neglect situations, or surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them. Each one receives veterinary care, love, and a second chance at life. Some are adopted into forever homes, while others live out their days safely at the sanctuary under the care of our veterans.
